We saw it coming from the south,
the waves were crashing against its bow.
The black flag was raised to the sun.
It was too late, we got nowhere to run.

‘I’m the exterminator,
I will smash your damned skulls.
The cruelties of your crown
are a joke compared with mine’.

The crew was stricken with fear,
we had heard about the French buccaneer...
Few minutes later
there was no one alive on the ship deck.

The sea dyed of red
to the horizon.
I cried out for help
but I was all alone.
I was the last one
of the sailors.
My life would come to its end
in a matter of seconds.

I don’t want to die,
I’m so fucking young.
I don’t want to die,
I’m at the mercy of a mad captain.

The Ire of God,
that’s the name of the frightening ship.
The greatest killing machine
the Caribbean Sea has ever met.

I looked up and prayed
for my salvation.
Montbars said: ‘for you
I have the worst torture.
But first we’ll have a stop,
I want to have a fuck.
Let’s go to Port Royal
for whores and a jar of rum’.

I don’t want to die,

I am kidnapped in The Ire of God.

The next day at Port Royal we arrived.
Montbars told me why he hated all the Spaniards
and he tied me on the tallest mast.
Then he and his men spent a lustful night.
At the morning I saw his bloodshot eyes…

He came up to me with a shiny knife,
cut the rope and stammered some incomprehensible words.
Suddenly he cut open my abdomen,
pulled off one end of the large intestine,
nailed it to the tallest mast and made… made me fucking dance.

I didn’t want to die,
I was so fucking young.
I didn’t want to die,
Now my guts are spread in The Ire of God.
